I have a full time , average job that pays quite well,
but
1) wanting to boost my income a little bit to save money in my savings account
2) wanting to make keyrings out of toys to sell but only in free time & not for that much
how would or should i go about this? will i have to claim tax for "petty" cash?
What can i do to make extra cash?

You would need to declare any profit and pay tax on that, your profit would be the selling price less your costs, ie materials etc.
