Get a joint mortgage if partner is Spanish?

Hi,

I am English but my partner is Spanish, can she apply for a joint mortgage with me in the UK or would her nationality be a problem at all? She has been living and working here for 2 years. We are getting married next year, would that make things easier if it was a problem at the moment?

Being Spanish should not cause an issue, although the short address history could exclude some lenders.

This is not a problem as betmunch says - the point about short UK history is worth noting as the credit history could be slim.
