Sorry, not tried this but I am a member of another forum (Long Hair Community) and they rave about using a caffeine hair rinse and using Monistat on the scalp for reducing hair shed and this makes the hair appear a bit fuller.
I've not use the Monistat stuff (yuk) but I do a weekly caffeine rinse with green tea (I hate coffee) and I use Nizoral shampoo (I don't have dandruff but it seems to improve my shedding a bit, it is not a magical cure though)

I use Toppik hair fibres and wouldn't be without them. They really do work to thicken the hair (temporarily) and are undetectable. I was very sceptical before I tried them, but they've improved my confidence so much. Toppik are the only brand I've tried so can't comment on any others.

I started using toppik and now get from ebay the cheap ones from http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/catchmee-a-bargain/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

costs about £12-80 for several large packets that last me weeks (I am female with chin length hair but male pattern baldess so use to cover up receding hair at front and v v thin top and crown)

They have honestly given me so much life and confidence back, take seconds to do but means I can see pictures of myself without wanting to cry.

    Go for it!

I used Toppik too when my hair began falling out in handfuls. I was thrilled with the results and my self-confidence returned.
