Hi - sorry if this isn't the right place to post this thread, I wasn't too sure where to put it.
I have recenty placed an ad to sell some boots on Gumtree and for the first time on Preloved. Today I received a text from 13013, saying "You have received a reply to your selling AD. Please reply by going to www.adaccount.co.uk"
Thinking it was for my advert I went on Preloved, I entered my email address and it logged me in. With this there was not much else to say on the screen, so I tried again using my other email address. The same thing happened - nothing about my ad nor anything that I could make sense of.
Is this a scam and have I given them my email addresses by mistake. I have never heard of or used https://www.adaccount.co.uk before.
Any help or reassurance would be of help.
Thanks

I got same text, today. Posted ads on Gumtree and Ebay recently. I did not follow the instruction as I suspected it is a scam, harvesting email addresses and possibly more. Googling "1301 3" brings up pages referring to phone numbers used in US for scamming.0

Thanks Boru for your reply. I am normally pretty good with not going into texts/emails. It caught me off guard as I had put this advert on. Is there anything I can do to protect myself as I have given them my email address on the website?
I have online security etc so hopefully they won't be able to get into my emails etc.0
