Hi, been having a debate with a friend but don't have a clue who is right!
She wants to lose weight although personally I don't think she is huge she wants a quick fix she is keen to try herbalife, but the reviews I have seen for her are very mixed. Anyone got any good or bad experiences of it?

Colleagues did it, they lost weight quick, but as soon as they stopped the product the weight went back on faster than it came off and they ended up bigger than they started.
Also read the ingredients list especially the chemicals- side effects gall stones of one of the main chemicals they use in the ingredients.
Certainly would not put it anywhere near my body,0 -
The body doesn't work well with quick fixes. Its like a car. If you quick fix a car and then go on a 300 mile trip, chances are it will break up.
The same goes for the body. As the person above has said, the chemicals etc as soon as you're off it, your weight comes back two fold.0 -
Thanks. For her benefit I want her to lose what she wants to to feel happy, but it needs to be safe as I keep reminding her! We go away on a girly break for 2 weeks in 3 months, she wants to lose 2 -2.5 stone in that time I'm not sure if that's realistic0
-
That doesn't sound realistic. Ask her why she wants to lose for a holiday? Just to look good on the beach?
You sound like a good friend and it will be good for her to try to lose weight, but not for a holiday, for a healthier life.0 -
It's mainly for holiday in the short term I think. We have been away together have evey year for the last few years, I'm a size 8 and she is a 14 but also quite shirt, so I think she is very self conscious when we are out/sunbathing etc0

has she had a look at intermittant fasting/5:2 diet? eat 'normally' for 5 days per week then 2 days have around 500 cals.
it can be a good kickstart to a diet & i found my shape changed more than you'd expect from the llbs showing lost on the scale, my waist was much smaller.
there's a long running thread on here & lots of info online.0 -
Well is she ok to put it back right away after stopping to use the product?
Why she doesn't change her life style instead a bit and drop sizes to a comfortable level? This will help her to be happier in long term!ally.0 -
She could try exercise to gain some muscle mass which will make her look smaller even at the same weight. I haven't tried Herbalife but am losing weight and I believe it's best done with the same food everyone else eats, no gimmicks! 2st is achievable depending on her size now, at size 14 i'd think it would be less, maybe 1Ib a week or 1.5? Everyone is different though, some like me lose easily but gain easily too and some find it hard to lose but also harder to gain. You sound like a great friend to have!0
