Good price list

Options
Hello,

Could anyone point me in the direction of a 'good' price list on here if such a thing exists?

I'd like to keep a handy list in my purse of what a bargain price per kg is for various meats, or toilet rolls etc.

Thank you in advance!

Can't think of something ready made you can keep in your purse but best thing I can think of is to look and compare on
    https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/
That'll give you the best current price comparisons.

I don't think such a thing exists OP. It may be a matter of you either keeping a tally on a smartphone or logging things on a slip of paper if you don't have a smartphone. Prices and offers change every few weeks/month and it may be the case that you have a "price guide" you've written down but it can be purchased cheaper if you go to a shop with it on offer.

Also; be aware that for example, a box of tissues may be cheaper in one store than another but the quantity of tissues in the box or how useable it is (eg a box of 150 but whenever you try to use them; 3 come out at once so your actually getting the equivalent of 50 in a box because it's too fiddly to take one at a time or 1 alone is so thin it's useless...) so you really have to do your own research first and decide what brands if any work for you.

Add to this that brands are pretty much constantly changing and reducing the size of their products with the same price applied without warning customers much of the time only to say the product had been "improved". It is misleading; you have to be on your guard to not be ripped off.

Don't take anything at face value and always question everything. Even (and I would say, especially) the pound shop/99p shop who are not always cheaper, the quality is not always the same and it is not always a great saving to shop there for things.

Nothing like that exists OP, could do your own.
  • You can set up a shopping list on

    https://www.ispyprices.com/

    (under My Shopping)
...and that when you look at it you will see the current cheapest way of buying the items on it. All prices are per litre/kg/each - it has done all the comparisons for you and takes account of deals.

    I use it.

Mysupermarket have an app where you can scan the barcode and it'll tell you the price elsewhere it's really handy obviously need a smartphone for it so apologies if you don't.
