Lost out on Facebook holiday win - not tagged

I'm absolutely gutted.

I've just done a search on my name and found that I won a family holiday last year on Facebook but wasn't tagged or e-mailed so I didn't reply in time.

I have sent them a Facebook message but don't hold out much hope as it is months past the deadline now and I think they have passed it on to someone else.

I just don't know how I missed it. I do a Google search every month or so. :(:(

that's tough, which company was it? Did they send you a message and it went to your others folder?

It was a big company, I don't want to name and shame them yet, as I will give them a chance to reply first.

No, they didn't message me, I check others and spam folders regularly. They just replied on the competition post but didn't tag me in their reply so I didn't see it. They posted a second message a month later, also on the competition post but again I wasn't tagged.

I did use the Google Social search (http://www.social-searcher.com/google-social-search/) but I have the same name as a marathon runner and she keeps winning competitions so it's easy to miss on the rare occasion I have actually won something!

that's tough! I would've thought they'd message you for a holiday win but clearly not. I don't know what you can do really but good luck!

Are you in any of the comp winners groups on Facebook ?
I find them very helpful and have been tagged in a few wins on there. I always post any wins I see and try to tag people too.

It seems that quite often it is not possible for a page to tag people and it depends on your settings if other people can tag you.

I am a member of a few Facebook winners groups but wasn't tagged for this in any of those - I have just double-checked.

Also checked my settings and there are no restrictions, so they should have been able to tag me. It looks like they haven't tagged others either in their wins - they've just said congratulations 'first name', so you wouldn't really find it in a Social search.

More recently they have started tagging, so I think maybe there has been some change since this competition, which was in September last year.
