Hi, new on the boards here and could use some advice.
I completed a BA Illustration Degree at Swansea Metropolitan University back in 2013. I had a very poor time there and feel like I've come away from it with nothing to show for all my effort.
I really would like to do a games art course at Hertfordshire University but I'm unsure of what kind of funding I could even get. What kind of financial support could I expect and if possible, does anyone have any links or info on the matter?
Thanks for your time!

As far as I know you can't get funding for a second degree in this country. Maybe pop over to the student board and see if anyone has any ideas?

Or contact student finance at the uni etc to discuss.
They probably get asked this question all the time.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Nope your not eligible for student finance, even if you took none out for your first degree.

Hello!
First off- I know your pain. I am in a similar position having graduated last year (but I think I'm picking it up). As far as the other answers go, I think they're a little mistaken. Well, in that, AT THE MOMENT only a PGDE is being funded, but, if you hold out for a year (assuming you're under 30) Masters degrees are actually going to start being funded in 2016!
[(I did put a link here, but MSE stopped me due to 'spammers'- HUFF. Google is your friend :-))
This is also something that I, at one point, am thinking I might consider, but the pay back scheme is a little bit different to your Bachelors. So do some reading up on it, and, if you think it's still worth it (all arts are competitive and require a potion of blood, sweat and a lot of luck) then really GO for it! Good luck!0 -

The examples you give are different types of/higher level qualifications.
You cannot get student finance for a degree when you already have a degree.
The options are to either fund it yourself, successfully apply for a scholarship or bursary, or find an employer who will fund it for you.0
