Differences (if any) between Aqua Optima & Brita?

Not so much differences in filtering as it appears from reviews that they are pretty similar, it's more a question of compatibility, as I'd like to go for the cheapest option!

I have an Aqua Optima jug.

Do the Brita Maxtra cartridges fit this jug?

Are Aqua Optima 30 day, 60 day and Aqua Evolve interchangeable?

I see also Laica cartridges on Amazon - do these fit an Aqua Optima jug?
