Sorry I can't be wonderfully helpful I think, but I just wanted to say you are not a failure - at the end of the day you were paying a company to help sort out your finances and it sounds like it was them that are the failure not you, so please do not beat yourself up - you care about the situation and have tried to sort it so you are not a bad person at all.

I would take any advise from ANY company that gets money off you one way or another with a huge pinch of salt as they have an agenda. As you have said you are going to, speak to NDL, CCCS, CAB, Payplan and see what they say, do not let these (quite frankly rather awful sounding) people get to you.

I very much doubt your creditors will petition for your BR - they totally loose that way as you have already shown you are willing to try and pay the money back, you have no assets and it costs them a lot of money to make you BR for no gain in your case. So really don't worry about that. Speak to the charities and I'm sure there will be a solution, even if it is BR, but on your terms and from your say so.

    Hugs

No worries, just glad to settle a mind - we know what it's like, believe me, so just make sure you come and talk when things go a bit 'argh' :)

    Welcome. :)

A failed IVA is a pretty straight forward case for the judge, but please get that advice from CCCS or one of the other charitable agencies.

If nothing else, you have been messed around by your IVA company and some professional guidance on how to proceed now will be invaluable.

Feel free to pick our brains on any of the practical aspects of BR.

IVA & fee charging DMP companies: Profits from misery, motivated ONLY by greed
  • The company that dealt with your IVA sounds completely incompetent, is there nothing you can do about that? Anyone you could report them to re their shoddy advice etc, that would really bug me!

This is all new to me too, so Im not any help really, just wanted to say 'hi' and try not to worry to much, but get all the advice from the debt charities as stated above, and take comfort in the fact that you are not alone in your situation.
Good luck and keep posting :)
