Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize:
The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, on a B&B basis, at the beautiful Château de la Treyne, a four-star Relais & Châteaux hotel perched on a cliff above the River Dordogne, near Souillac. Surrounded by 300 acres of forest, the château was built between the 14th and 17th centuries and has been painstakingly restored by Philippe and Stephanie Gombert. There’s a formal garden with fountains at the front, a terrace overlooking the river at the back and a magnificent dining room inside. Stéphane Andrieux is chef de cuisine, and his restaurant — specialising in ingredients from the Périgord and Quercy — has a Michelin star. One dinner for two (excluding wine) is included in the prize.
The prize also includes return flights from Stansted to Brive, as well as return transfers in France, and must be taken before November 30, subject to availability and excluding July and August.
