sounds like a really organised few days.
Its worth getting a Morrisons card (petrol and instore) keep as a spare.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
hey mum2one, yeah i will get a morrisons card - i am sure i was given one before but never registered it, next time i am in i will def pick one up again!
another NSD today, not through choice, i did actually NEED to buy dog food and left my daughter with that task which she failed to do! along with hanging up a washing or emptying a dishwasher ahhh teenagers!! but thats a moan that's not for my happy positive diary....
I have quite high electricity bills and I think it is due to having a tumble dryer on constantly, so i am making an effort to only use it for bedding and maybe towels for the last 10 minute to make them fluffy, everything else i getting hung up to dry!
not heard from Amazon will need to chase that up tomorrow and hopefully my M&S pin might get here before the 5 days are up and i can take that hoover back and get a refund!
I really need to do an SOA and going to look into aiming at paying back 1% at a time and colouring in a grid, been reading a diary and this girl does that and I feel would motivate me.
been non stop at work today, going to have a nice long bath and catch up on more diaries - i am addicted!!! xx0 -
Just read your story so far! You are making a great start! It can't have been easy to start up on your own with your daughter.
I would do a true SOA of what you are spending now and as you make changes update it showing how much more efficient your budgeting gets.
Good luck0 -

hey judi, it wasn't ideal but we were in a far more fortunate position that many people find themselves in, i'm just not good with budgeting and money goes so quick these days!
i will def get around to doing that SOA in the next few days!
I have started to read your diary, i am addicted to them these days - seem to get nothing done lol i'm only on page 1 but if i don't move i will be late picking up my friend! i'll get a cup of tea and packet of biscuits and work my way through the 22 pages soon! x0 -
went AWOL from my diary for a few days, but haven't went off course!
Wednesday i went and bought dog food, £20.35 but they had no change so i got it for £20! My daughter was then a bad influence and really wanted a mcdonalds when we were out, normally i wouldn't hesitate and before we know it we would be eating it, but i said i wasn't wasting money on rubbish anymore and if she had her own money with her (conveniently she never seems to when with me!) could have bought her own! I did however meet in the middle and bought us both a cheeseburger so that was £1.99, mini fail but step in the right direction! I also gave £2 to a homeless man on the street and bought pitta bread at 39p and coconut milk for 69p from home bargains.
Yesterday i never spent a penny so another NSD.
Today i am off to the Ideal Home Show - tickets were free and i had agreed to go before i started this. Just gave a quick call to ask the price of parking - £7!!! It's not really an option to park and walk as all around is pay and display and the price of a bus/train wouldn't be much cheaper and i don't even know if there are any routes that way anyway. The old me would be out of control today, handing over my credit card and being sucked in...I really hope the new me can shine through....will report back later x0 -
hope you had a good time at the home show and your cards didnt get too much of a bashing.... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
