what can i do about my employer making my life hell

hi guys ive left my current job because things have been going from bad to worse over the last few months and I wanted to know if there was anything I can do in regards to my employer, since leaving she is making my life hell through social media, making all kinds of accusations and id like to know if any one has had any similar experiences and knows what to do in the current situation, as far as im concerned ive left a job where I was no longer happy but she is making up all sorts of lies that are not true! and its just getting worse and worse and just want to move on with my life..if any one has some great legal advice or point me in the right direction, id be very greatful, I just want all this nonsense to stop because she is taking it to far now and this is my life ! surly this has to be slander or something

    Block her on all social media sites. You could also report posts she's making about you. If it's all through direct messaging then blocking her will stop that.

    Ignore any emails from her if that's an issue. Set them to go straight to deleted or junk.

    Don't reply to any communications from her.

    hi there thanks for that, but my employer is the head office so that's a tad difficult,lol.. it is the owner who is causing me all these issues

    Keep copies of everything. You're not going to want a reference from her so potential employers may want to know why.

    Take screenshots of everything she says and then complain to the police.

    If she is posting lies that are defamatory about your character in public (eg. on her facebook wall) then that's called libel and you can take legal action against her. If she is just sending you private messages that isn't libel, but could still be illegal if they are threatening.

    Keep copies of everything as evidence.

    Send her a letter (a real one) saying you will be taking legal action if she doesn't stop.

    Unfortunately for you, there is no legal aid for libel. You may find a solicitor prepared to act on "no win no fee" but doubtful.

    Can you give an example of what she is writing about you?
