I've been doing some end date comping recently and have noticed that some comps are posted with the winners will be drawn on date as the end date , am I alone in thinking the end date should be the day before ?

Sometimes a site gives the same date for both - it's just one of the many reasons to avoid comping by end date or at least staying the minimum 2 days ahead of the posted closing date as per the guide.SUGGESTION: If you really want to only enter comps right when they are ending then I strongly suggest you get a couple of days ahead of yourself0

If they say "Winner will be selected on ..." ... I'll generally put the closing date as the day before unless it says otherwise.
And if it says Closing date is the 22nd, Winner will be chosen on the 22nd ... I'd also (usually) put the end as the day before. Just needs a bit of common sense really when posting. But people go out of their way to post comps so It'd be rude to complain and ask them to read the full terms re:closing dates.
Not saying you're being rude by posting this, I completely agree with you since I do a lot of end-date comping, just the nature of the beast I think (especially when we're talking about the people that post 20+ comps per day).0 -
I've gone back to end date comping.. I seem to have much more success that way.
I do try to stay a couple of days ahead though.0
