Application for financial support with professional qualification -Help

I had my appraisal recently which well and it was suggested that I should look at undertaking a professional qualification which could be funded by my employer.
I have now been asked to put together a case as to why they should fund me and I am unsure of how to present it and also if there are other reasons I can add .
Below are the reasons I have come up with
· It would allow me to gain a more rounded understanding of the industry.
· It would also enhance and increase my current skill set
· Allow me to build on personal and practical experience in the workplace
· The opportunity to network and learn from my peers within the industry
· Increased confidence gained through the opportunity to stretch myself and personal development.
Any advice gratefully recieved

Those reasons apply to you more than they do to your company!
You need to demonstrate how you will add value to your employers, increase productivity and effectiveness etc.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Thanks I see what you mean - just need to work out how to relate it back. I work as a manager and all the employees on site are contractors or work for different companies and I have to be a jack of all trades.0

The opportunity to network and learn from my peers within the industry-and apply this knowledge to your own work/company
Increased confidence gained through the opportunity to stretch myself and personal development- which then you can use the develop your own team/juniors, your company
It would also enhance and increase my current skill set-again that will be beneficial to the company in long term as you will be able apply a wider/stronger knowledge to the operations of your companyally.0 -
Would having a professionally qualified employee make the employer look good in the eyes of the contractors and clients? Would the contractors be more likely to work better for someone with this qualification?Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Would this course mean that you could now do in-house things that were contracted out, thus saving the employer money in the long term?
Look at from another angle: what would induce you to pay for a course for someone else? What's in it for you? Lower costs, increased turnover, increased effectiveness, efficiency and productivity, better public image thus more customers, better customer service...?Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

I would consider mentioning something about learning and applying current industry best practice to your shopping centre and about better understanding the trends and challenges facing the industry and that you'd be more equipped to tackle them successfully. Anything about gaining more knowledge and then being able to have more effective oversight of legislation/health & safety might be helpful.0
