Music Magpie Issue

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience to what I am currently having with Music Magpie.
I raised an order with them on 20th April for 6 Xbox 360 games and this was collected a couple of days later. The order was then received on the 29th April, with their processing team on the 8th May and had an email today so say the order had been checked and one item has been rejected because of damaged artwork (I checked all 6 games and they were all in good condition).
The issue I have is the day after they collected the order I signed in on their app and my order had already dropped in value by £5.22 (this was 7 days before the order had even arrived with them) and it just so happens that the item they have now rejected was the item which instantly showed as having no value on the app. At the time I thought it was just a glitch with the app but now it just seems too much of a coincidence and that they never intended to pay the full order. Its only a fiver so its not the money side of it that has annoyed me, but I can't help feeling a little conned by them.
Anyone else ever experienced anything similar?
