Hi,
Not 100% sure I am posting in the correct place...me and my bf left a gym last October. I sent an email to cancel and never received a reply so cancelled the DD. It was a 1 month jobby, no 12 month contract. So that was all fine, never heard anything from the gym. This week we've both been sent a letter from DS saying we each owe £62. The gym membership was £25 each!
Do we ignore the whole thing or speak to the gym and agree to pay 1 month? I have left a gym early before because I was moving away and they wouldn't agree to me ending the contract early and I had a couple of letters for payment but ignored and they went away.
Just unsure with this company. Has anyone had dealings with them for a gym membership?
Thanks
P.s I have been reading various threads on them so have done some research. Just want some more advice

They will have added on charges.
I would send them a complaint letter, with a copy of the email and also complain about the charges.
Were you allowed to cancel via email in the terms and conditions?:beer:0 -
It just said we had to cancel in writing. I wouldn't mind but we've not had any contact from the gym before this! Will send them an email this week. Thanks0

Let us know if this hangs on an email being 'in writing' or not as I'm sure there is precedent for this that I can dig into if necessary.0
