on-line wills

Are they legal and are they any good. What pitfalls do i have to look out for?
Quite straight forward, just leaving everthing to my 3 children (all adults ) and a.
small charity donation.
I own a property, no mortgage, and my_partner has died. Everything is in ny name.

personally I wouldnt take a risk of on-line incase I made a mistake.
I went with doing it in the "Will Aid" scheme mentioned on the link above , so my money for writing the will went to charity rather than into the solicitors pocket

It's commonly said that solicitors make considerably more money sorting out situations brought about by non - professionally drawn up wills than they do from wills themselves.

That knowledge is what you pay for when you have your will written by a solicitor. If you diy it and get it wrong, you will never know but your children will be left with a mess.

A good will should cover a lot of eventualities such as what happens if any of your children die before you.
