The flex direct and flex plus are fee paying which I don't need or want0

The way I interpret the conditions is that you have to satisfy either condition 1 or condition 2. Condition 2 is just that you hold a Flex Direct account.
Flex Direct isn't fee paying. I have it and don't pay any fees. It's an online account although they do still send me paper statements.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
