whos bakes cakes etc... need help!

i am making packet choc brownies... the last lot (a week ago i mucked up) now they have been in the oven for 25min (as packet states) but they are still sticky ~ very ~ in the centre... how do you know whan they are done?

    Arent good brownies always sticky in the middle PAP hun :confused:
    Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:

    yes but i have never baked them before :rotfl:i guess i should take them out and hope they set :rolleyes:

    well they are out now but its like there is a cooked top and then underneath is still like dough... hmmmm

    stick a cocktail stick or skewer in the middle, if its comes out runny it's not done. If it slides out with no residue it is and you should then post them all to me!

    a knife comes out sticky and gooie ~shall i put them back in?

    how long have they been in for and how long should they have been? I think with brownies they are sticky but I would just check they are not runny rather than sticky. I hope that makes sense!

    well the packet said 30min (greens fudge brownies) they went in at 4.50pm and i got them out 5.28pm :confused: i guess i should check on them when they have had time to set
