Hi folks,I am planning a wee trip to London in the summer with my OH and 11 yr old daughter.
We are wanting to do the usual touristy stuff,as this is our first time in the big smoke;)
Does anyone have any money-saving hints or tips to help us make the most of our stay? TIA:beer:

Have a look over on the UK Holidays & Days out board, where the topic comes up frequently - susancs in particular has posted loads of advice.

Best tips from me are - there are loads of really good free museums etc and for the things that aren't, check out the 2-4-1 offers with train tickets

The food on the markets is brilliant and cheap - Camden, Brick Lane inside the old brewery, and Borough Market (the stalls outside, inside can be expensive) are my favourites of the ones I've been to.

Have a look on some of the what's on websites - on some you can filter to only show the free things, South Bank is good for an afternoon and is usually buzzing with street performers, there's a lot to see and do just in that one area.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!
