Application was submitted to Santander 20 April and tthe mortgage offer arrived at solicitors 8 May. I've been really impressed with their level of service. Having a good broker has been a godsend.
Been to sign the contract today, exchange will be tomorrow or Friday and we should have the keys to our new home on the 22nd, yay 😄

Santander are light and shade.
Can be like lightening if no queries (my last four were 3, 8, 10 and 15 days to offer respectively).
Can be horrendous if the case needs manual intervention.I am a Mortgage Broker

How the world has changed that Santander are receiving processing plaudits at the expense of Natwest.
