Mortgage offer!!!!!

Hi I was wondering how long the average mortgage offer takes as it has now been three weeks since the application was made the survey was done in the first three days,they did claim to have not had my partners employment ref so it was resent on tuesday............the broker said today as there is 48 hour turnaround....we are a little anxious as it is a new build and we should have exchanged contracts yesterday


Any advice or help on this subject would be much appreciated

Depends on the lender. We had ours after 7 days after the application was submitted. I wouldnt worry if you have already got your MIP from the lender.

I would give them a kick if you have missed your exchange date.

I keep ringing the brokers and getting the same answers your advice is appreciated,the house builders gave us a lot of incentives and don't want to lose them.
