Sold a property for £207.500 in West counrty as part of a deceased estate and paid £750 including VAT.

Eldest daughter is buying a house in South Wales at price of £250K and is being quoted circa £800 / £1000 all in, with stamp duty on top.

They'll need to be on your lenders panel of approved conveyancers. In the process you are paying the lenders costs as well as your own.

There is always a but... :) What if I like some one who is not on the lenders panel? Can I pay the lenders cost separately? And if so how much?

Make sure they are on the Lenders panel.

Look for ones with 4 or more SRA registered solicitors.
