Interviews - One Tip At A Time

Make sure you understand any rota expectations. If they're asking for someone to do shifts and weekends, don't wait till the end of the interview before you say you can only manage school hours. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Relax, its just a conversation about you and the company, Its hard work having to prise answers out of nervous candidates.0

Confidence - and remembering they need to employ someone, just as much as you want a job. Make them have a reason to employ you0

Give yourself enough time to get to the interview. Turning up late never gives a good first impression. On the other hand, if there is an unfortunate incident that means you are going to be late, make sure you contact them by telephone to explain.
Research the company.

What would you say if you haven't got the most experience or the most qualifications but are sure you can do that job ?
I am starting to look for a job again after 7 years staying at home. I am looking to volunteer first to get some experience but even in those jobs I have been asked to come in for an interview and I am so nervous.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Remember you're on interview from the minute you enter their premises. I've often asked receptionists what they thought of candidates if they've had to wait in reception for a little while.0

Be Confident.
You have impressed on paper, to get the face2face interview.

Some really good tips here
I have in the past started waffling in interviews as my voice always sounds like it doesn't belong to me! I never knew it was a stress reaction until I read an article a couple of days ago so now I know its 'normal' I won't let it throw me off track.
So on that basis my tip would be to ignore yourself!0 -
Relax, its just a conversation about you and the company, Its hard work having to prise answers out of nervous candidates.
This. Basically, it's 30-45 minutes of talking about YOU, what's not to like!
Also, relax, interviewers are people too and they really don't want you to do an awful interview. Engage with them (eye contact, humour etc) and it will help you loads.
Don't bite your nails until they bleed. Honestly, I had this once where I had to provide a tissue to an interviewee who had bitten his nails down so far that his hands were leaking. Not good for him, his suit or for me. Some nerves are acceptable, interviewers get that you'll be nervous; uncontrollable, rehabilitating nerves are counterproductive.
And, finally, a word of advice from a much admired manager - don't fall off your chair and call them b*stards.
Ps. At an interview, I did fall off my chair but I didn't call them b*stards. I got the job.0
