Mortgage application app with mortgage advisor

Hi can anyone tell me what sort of things are asked when completing our mortgage application? I have been told we will be at the appointment for 2 hours. Seems a long time:shocked:

Are you meeting the bank advisor or a "real" advisor?
If your meeting the bank thats because they make a meal of it, if your meeting a real advisor it sounds very much overkill.

Most of my initial appointments take between 45-75 minutes (depending on the clients, whether they like to chat/have questions etc).

But generally speaking they will go through personal information (name, address history, DoB, employment info), income and expenditure, what you want from your mrotgage/what you can afford etc.

Hi we are meeting the mortgage advisor we are using through HTB. We are applying for a mortgage with nationwide, but he is not linked to nationwide. I was hoping they were exaggerating a bit.

Perhaps he is just a bit 'slow'.
