Wednesday 13th May - What small DFW things will you do today?

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free. :money:

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all, sorry for the silence yesterday, felt like one very looong day. I need a super early night tonight

Oh, and to stop chewing over kitchen options - I'm rapidly driving myself insane, lol

    Money-wise things for today:
    - Free breakfast of a greek yoghurt with seeds in. They were giving them away at the train station the other day so I nabbed 3. Guess what I've got for breakfast today, tomorrow and Friday.. :-P
    - Chilli leftovers for lunch
    - Portion of microwaved popcorn for a work snack
    - Tea and squash made in work
    - Dinner planned and from the freezer
    - No need to spend anything today so should be an NSD

Have a god day all x

Greetings to all frugal friends on this fine bright morning,
I'm in the mood for a jobmongous day today. Can you tell? Several bits of it will be money saving & here they are:
    *Filing - Done
    *Pay credit card - Done
*Plan day out this weekend on absolutely minimum spend -Done.
*Do Avon order. Buy 3 items I need ONLY if on offer. They were - Done.
*Save energy by washing hair & letting it dry naturally. Also sweep hard floors with long-handled dustpan & brush instead of getting the vacuum out. Done.
*Enter competition to win cottage holiday. Done.
    *Water greenhouse & veggie garden.
    *Plant out more lettuces.
    *Pick salad.
    *Make bread rolls & pizza.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & work snacks.
*Plant out cosmos & verbena - cosmos were given to me & verbena were free seeds.
*Clear out Cupboard of Doom (Cleaning cupboard). For someone who only really uses Stardrops, soda crystals, bleach, washing up liquid & clothes washing powder, there seems to be a hell of a lot of stuff in there, which I suspect is doing sweet b*gger all. I may be some time.......
    *Make a reed diffuser.
*Do a bit more work on my family tree to make best use of online genealogy memberships while I have them. Already been given an extra 2 free months as goodwill gesture over dispute.
*Read - a book I would have bought in the past but have borrowed from someone.
OK, must get a shift on. Will start with garden jobs before the rain sets in later, then coffee break & get the bread dough made. Have a good one all.......keep your hands on your pence.
Bob - Don't overdo it. You manage more physical activity than most of us on here & you are pregnant. We like Sensible Bobs on here, :-)
    Love to all,

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Awww thank you Ziggy & Foxgloves, very kind of you. I am and always have been a high energy person. I do not find passive relaxation easy. So for me things like gardening, walking, that sort of thing are ideal. But you are right I do need to find ways of taking it easier. My situation isn't ideal granted. But at the moment I don't see an easy alternative. The business isn't taking enough to allow me to employ anyone and it is like owning a dog, it still needs walking even when you are knackered.
Stuff I am trying to do is eat a bit more. I think my tenancy to mainline black coffee all day is not necessarily helping. And having a nice long soak once husband is home to supervise bedtime is also good for me.

Jo Jo - it must be a day for it. I found 1p in Mr T's this morning and nabbed it. As they say 'every little helps' :)

    Bye for now
