Hi Ach
In a similar position, with payments reduced due to lost shift pay (thanks DC). About 22 years to go, but my mortgage and secured loan both pay off in 6-8 years so I should be able to hit the debts much faster after that.
Does seem endless though and absolutely sympathise. However try not to look on the black side, at least you are able to only pay token amounts, and hopefully the creditors are not hounding you. Just make such the creditors are not charging interest, if they are, write and ask them to stop. If they refuse, write again and say you will complain to FOS.
Come and join us on the DMP support thread, there is a great post some pages back about the lending code, I'm just starting to use it to fight my creditors interest which they were charging as was making near minimum payments.
Don't despair, it will get sorted.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.
Estimated DFD August 2018 - 2031 - now 2027 :T
