tomtom cardio runner

Hi

I am looking at investing in a tomtom cardio runner gps watch , but i also do the insanity work outs , and was hoping it would be able to be used for that as well , to measure calories etc

Does anyone know if this is a suitable product to use for running and that ?

My wife has the Tom Tom Cardio Runner and really likes it, but only uses it for running.

There is a multi sport version as well which costs more, don't know if it is suitable for insanity type workouts.

I think looking in more detail , the cardio runner is really only suitable for GPS i.e outdoor workouts , the multi sport looks more likely , i`ll have a read , thanks

It'll be useless for measuring calories burned doing that type of workout, or for any workout really.

The useful part of it would be that those watches have heart rate monitors built-in, so you can see how hard you're pushing yourself and work at hitting sessions in the correct heart rate zone, which will improve your fitness.

Personally I'd ignore the calorie tracking nonsense.
