Car Loan

agree with macman, my friend buys and sells cars and they depreciate so fast once they leave the show room. Get something 1 or 2 years old at least. Not just for the fact its less money but i hear several people who know about cars saying that they are better when they have done a few miles and the engines been broken in.0

Thanks everybody (apart from the plonker at the end there).
We're retired and want this to be our last car, hence going for a brand new one which requires finance
Very helpful, thank you !
no disrespect intended as I don't know your circumstances, but if you are retired is it wise to take a loan especially for a new car?EU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%

If you are absolutely set on getting finance then I would take the finance from the dealer which would allow me to negotiate more money off the car. I got £2k off my last car going this but then I paid the finance off in full. So you could get the dealer's finance to get the discount and then get a personal loan to pay off the dealer's finance if the personal loan works out to be cheaper in the long run.0 -
Well we've only ever had 2 car loans and paid both off within a few months, so I expect we'll do the same again. Thanks
