Completion questions

Options
Hi, relatively new to this forum so please bear with me. :)

I'm buying a new build in Northern Ireland. It was reserved off plan in October and due to complete now this week. It's almost ready to go, and completion is hopefully going to happen on Thursday (the day my mortgage offer expires- they wouldn't consider an extension). My question is....will the bank need to physically see the NHBC certificate and Building regs before they release the funds? Both are going out to inspect the house on wednesday morning, but apparently it takes a while for the certificates to be issued? Will the bank be happy with verbal confirmation from my solicitor that everything is ok? The bank's surveyor is happy with the house, that was confirmed last week.

The builder said that it's not unusual for building regs and NHBC to only sign off the house AFTER completion, so it shouldn't affect the mortgage, but I'm not so sure. It's ulster bank btw.

If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it! Thanks
