Moving date pushed back!

I’m hoping someone could help me out with this please.I was due to move in to my new build home on Thursday 21st May –this date was confirmed to me by the developer almost 3 weeks ago. However, Ireceived a call from my financial planner yesterday saying she had called thesolicitor to finalise a few bits and pieces, and he said he somehow didn’trealise that the date had been finalised so he has now missed the deadline torequest help to buy funding by that date. This means my move-in date has beenpushed back to 29th May.
I know that these things can happen, but I was led tobelieve that a confirmed date meant I could start to arrange things. Therefore,I have now had to cancel services I had booked (removal services, flooringfitters etc) and arrange to stay at my current address for another week whichis going to cost me a bit of money in lost deposits and extra rent. I tried toexplain this to the solicitor and he said it’s no-one’s fault, ‘just one ofthose things’. He then went on to say they don’t have my ID or mortgage offer onfile any more either (despite me having signed the missives and paid half ofthe deposit to Persimmon already), so I had to send everything over to him again(no explanation as to why, just another one of ‘those things’), but that’s adifferent complaint I guess. This is after various other issues I’ve had todeal with over the last couple of months (one of the main ones being that he wanted me to pay the deposit direct to the developer whereas they said it should be through him for the legal records - this went on for weeks before he'd agree to do it).
So I was just wondering if there is anything I can do tocomplain about this? I just feel as if I have received terrible service withoutso much as an apology or acknowledgement that it’s cost me time and effort andI’d like to put this in writing so it hopefully means they do a better job thenext time. For info, I’m not looking for compensation or anything, I just feelthey need to be pulled up for this.

Yeah I did that - he said it was basically tough that he forgot to read the email telling him the date had been confirmed and he'd lost all of my documentation.0
