If you exercise the right to cancel in the cooling off period the creditor will only be entitled to charge the interest rate per the agreement, so the borrower will be charged at that rate but only for the duration they have held the money (23 days so far)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Most people think kids should be taught finance in schools, makes you wonder where the teachers will come from.0

I assume the OP wants to exercise the right to withdraw so that the credit search is shown on the CRA reports, but not the loan, as it was cancelled within the cooling off period.
Importantly, I dont think it is not getting out of paying interest, as OP's gf would have to pay the interest for the number of days they had the loan (unless Pay Day Express don't allow early settlement - however on their website they say you can pay back at any time and save on interest).0 -

Well as teachers you should know that every school is different.
This school has a ban on having mobile phones with you during the day, and as she leaves home at 7am and doesn't get back until after 7pm (she is also a departmental head) that doesn't really leave an option for home.
I thought this place would be helpful, obviously not.
I find this difficult to believe - are you saying they actually search teachers?0 -

I wonder if the OP is getting mixed up between the school's policy for its pupils and those for its teachers. You would have thought that if they trusted in someone's abilities to the extent they made her a head of department, they could trust her to deal with a personal matter during her lunchbreak (for example)...0 -
