We all have a blip at sometime, strange though that most of us are all having blips at the same time.
Must be something to do with the weather, or are all just fed-up at the same time,
and with school holidays etc throws everyone out of sequence.
We all usually realise we have "blipped" and make up for it the following couple of monthsAlways have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.191 -
We can all recognise that a MFW journey is in the most cases a marathon. With changes in speed, tempo, intensity and hitting the wall! Thats how I'm viewing mine, slow and steady and just approaching the 10mile marker...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......1

Thanks for the encouraging comments!!!!
I’ve managed to change to a perm position but still with a good income. Look forward to a more steady monthly income and being able to plan around that!

Good start to the NY - and exciting times ahead - get planning
targets are always a great challenge to me, but never set them too high - that's when they become a chore.

I haven’t started it yet but really not much will change from my current contract role, until we get this project over the line! So close so close!
Now I have to work out why my accountant is charging me a full year of fees to close down my company. I know they have to do a tax return but I think it’s a bit much asking for a full year of fees to do this.Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

Not been on here for ages! Hope your all keeping well. So the job I had secured was pulled due to the current situation. I was soooooo sooooooo disappointed and took me a few day’s to pick myself up, but now I’m focusing on the kids and once school finishes I have some courses I want to do to upskill. I’m sure it will work out in the end.

A glimmer of hope. The job that I was meant to start in May, that was pulled because of COVID-19, is on the cards again. Needs to go through all the approvals again and trying not to get my hopes up. I’ll just take it as it comes but I really do have my hopes up if I’m honest!Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

That's great news, hope everything works out for you, sounds like your keen to get started.
On the covid issue - I was 2 days off pension payout date when lockdown was announced. After many, many calls and weeks and weeks later payout came - but couldn't spend it on anything !!! Spoiled the fun somewhat.
