Personally I would not go for a timer as you have no control and will end up buying expensive electricity to heat water.
I would either go diverter or not bother with PV water heating as anything else will probably frustrate the hell out of you.
I have a diverter and would make the same investment again if starting from scratch.0 -
Well, for those going through the same process i have decided to go with:
14 Sun Edison 285W panels with Solar edge and iboost. They threw in an extended warranty on the inverter to 20 years too. This cost me £6200.
This is with a company called Suns Energy. If you do get a deal though them please mention my name as I get a cheque for £200!
Equally i'm keen to hear of people that have used this company and anything i should look out for!
