Thanks QoC :) Well played Rhosyn :T
  • If anyone is thinking of coming through SE Wales a week Saturday on 14th June - DON'T! Unless you are coming for the Wales Velethon (bike ride).
Our little road is closed from 7.45am until 3.30pm BUT we needn't go anywhere then as the main road is closed until 5.15pm!
God help anyone who needs an ambulance or police as virtually the whole area is closed off.

I can't believe they are going from Abergavenny up the Blorenge to Blaenafon (they call it the Tumble) as this is bad enough for cars to up. Beautiful views but makes me breathless just thinking about it.

Just a heads up for everyone as SE Wales is going to be virtually impenetrable BUT they are keeping M4/M50 motorways open.

    Afternoon/Evening lovely Elite :money:

25 degrees here today, but we had thunder and lightning and torrential rain just after 7am this morning for about an hour, after which the sun came out

Happy non-birthday to Mrs Mac

So glad that lump is now gone calmspirit, and that surgeon thinks it's just a cyst :j

Forgot to congratulate tweets on her further loss, way to go girl. I am really struggling at moment - 2 on then 2 off sort of thing. Meals are fine but too much chocolate in the house with glitches and I get down and just eat it :o Did take a load of Mars/Twix to Dog Rescue for use in upcoming fetes for tombolas, and they got loads of handwash from me too as they have buyers ready and waiting for it at 50p a pop. They are struggling to sell the Udi's though lol, at 50p a box, but someone came into charity shop last week and bought the 10 I had put in there, so the other cough cough few boxes will go in the shop, and hopefully lady will come back for the rest

Talking of glitching and how your attitude to it changes, not much of the glitchy stuff I get is for me, in fact very little of it. I get some for friends and family but the most of it is for the rescue to sell to raise much needed funds. As I say, handwashes, and bath/shower gel, they have no trouble selling for 50p, and lots of other bits and pieces can be used for shop or tombola/raffles

And I supplied glitchy booze/soft drinks for our curry out on Tuesday at restaurant where you bring your own drinks. It was the Rescue organiser and us helpers and we were sorting out a fun day in September, and we all had a great night

Stuff like that tends to be a rolling closure. When Tour of Britain came through, the police were in front by about ten minutes to allow all cyclists to go through safely, then they were a couple of minutes behind the last rider too, so the closures weren't too bad and not closed off for any more than 15 minutes
