Taken me ages to get back on site and having problems posting! One last try grrrrr

Just looking at those spicy wedges, would they work on old apg please?

Waiting for DS3, he is on 12 hours today but coming for his tea after 6pm, had some chicken left over (lots of it) so having chicken and bacon pasta bake.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Bubbs, sorry about your gazebo, I remember 3 years ago we bought a metal framed folding one. Very strong winds got it while the boys were paaaaaaartying when DH and I were away on holiday. The framework was twisted and we couldn't do a thing with it. It ended in the dump grrrrrrr

    Thank you :)

It's not good for their general health if they're just sitting in the nest box 24 hours a day. I gets bloody hot in there and she wasn't eating or drinking much. I was taking the eggs away from her so she was sitting on nothing. If they're hatching eggs, which I really don't want to do with her, they'll be in the nest box for a minimum of 3 weeks

    Evening

If you get really desperate you could always dip her in a bucket of cold water. It sounds a bit extreme but it doesn't harm them and it has always worked for me. Cools them down rapidly and stops them brooding. Be prepared for a bit of squawking if you try it though  it works but they don't like it much!
I only do it if the brooding goes on for a while or they're getting aggressive. I find they rarely brood for a whole 3 weeks....hopefully it'll be over soon.

The bucket certainly would have been easier on my back, you can imagine how much I had to alter the dog cage :o

She'd turned into the devil hen from hell and was going mental when the others wanted to lay so I had to get it sorted :o:o
