nope he has not done any stats or research at all so I think an extra year getting that is what it's going to be..........I think I have been trying so hard to find a solution because of the bursary available .....doing an extra year will put another year fees etc on his debt plus the following year a masters will then cost him yet another year fees etc.......instead of free if he got in this year! Expensive decision! Would probably work out cheaper to send him abroad!
Wonder how much it would cost for a summer of stats & research methods somewhere far away? hmmmmm .....actually thinking out loud but ..he could repay me from his bursary:rotfl:
Anyway........back to work tomorrow - half term was great while it lasted
Off again on Friday as having a breast lump removed ....only local anaesthetic so should be ok for weekend womble .......yes my life really IS that exciting:rotfl::rotfl:
I have been trying to lurk as much as possible but lazyitis got the better of me!
Good luck for Friday, CS. Hope that all goes as well as it can, for you.0 -

Evening all
So sorry I missed birthday wishes for Nannylala, hornetgirl and Izzy:)
Busy weekend with DD and Co here. DD did the local 10km today in the rain and sea fret. Must have been challenging. Not seen if brother in law has finished the Comrades run yet. As a 56 mile race he was hoping to finish in 11 hours so will be checking Facebook in a bit.

Hi Durham
I'm doing C25K too. I'm on week 7 this week, but depending on which C25K Free App you have, watch out for Week 5!
Week 5 Day 1 and Day 2 say 5 mins walk, 8 mins run x 1 repeat. Which was OK and do able.
Then Week 5 Day 3 changed to walk for 5mins, run for 20mins!
I was in shock and stopped running at 11 mins as I thought I had picked the wrong week. Turns out the App I was using is not the same as what our trainer in person does. However quite a few in our group (week 1 there were 93 starters, now in week 7 we have about 50) accidentally ran 20 mins so on Week 6 our trainer made us do 25 mins with no stopping. WE DID IT THOUGH. On sat which was week 7 Day 1 we ran for 32 mins AND MOST OF US MANAGED.
I've so far managed to keep my pace to just above walking and do not take long strides. I had never run (apart from some attempts to catch a bus 20 years+ or more).
I'm thinking whether or not I manage to be able to run for the length of time needed to do a 5K, if I can run for 30mins with ease 3 times a week that's got to be much better than coming home from work, and sitting at the computer/ watching TV.
HOPE YOU SUCCEED IN REACHING WHATEVER YOUR PERSONAL GOAL IS.0 -

Sometimes when you are student you just have to take it year by year. I know students are a joke but they're actually very resourceful and if they are passionate about getting where they want to be.....they will
Flip you CS just casually mentioning a breast lump mid-post  Sort of puts my knee lump in the shadehow dare you
But if it's getting removed then it's traumatic and stop trying to be brave because I'm not allowed to, so you aren't either. Sorry!! And if you are having any kind of lump removed under local.....you are braver than me:eek:
:mad::cool: :rotfl:
