Just had a call from DD1 they had a car accident on the way home. They are ok thankfully but car is damaged. Doesn't sound like it was their fault but always a booger to sort out insurance.

DF and her DD bought her DD's wedding dress at the weekend. They listened to my Elite advice and saved £1400 off the original price by buying an ex-display dress. EEK! (Wish my emoticons worked!).

Lots of house cleaning for me today. DH's painting effort has put the rest of the house to shame! If only I could attach dusters to the dog!

Ooooooh, I'd not thought of ex-display, I'll mention that to her she wants something light and non-meringue like as she's getting married abroad and the dress counts as part of her luggage allowance

Good morning all, cloudy here but not meant to be cold.

TS, that dress looks fab and, to be honest, it does not look like you need to lose any weight, your arms are certainly slimmer than mine! Hope DD1 manages to sort out the insurance OK, cars are amazingly protective these days, had one friend get out of a car unscathed when it was bashed in front and back :eek:

Oh, and QoC, if your friend has arranged the wedding through the travel company, I have heard many of them give you extra allowance for the dress? And please regale us with your bus stories, there is bound to be something:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
