Ah, thanks for the vote of confidence. Do you know I'm not entirely sure. I've armed myself with a VERY tight budget, but allowed myself some spending money so I don't go insane.

The plan is to make overpayments as soon as possible after I get paid, only take out my months cash allowance and then hide the cards away. Now that I've moved I've got a VERY long commute to work so there won't be opportunities for after work drinks, or just popping for a glass of wine. I'll be asleep as soon as I walk in the door! Sleeping will hopefully negate spending. Not the most technical of plans but I'm hoping it's a goer for me!

Thanks ltm! The OH and I have combined debts of about £41K right now. For the first time since we met three years ago I now have less debt than he does! He's very proud of me but doesn't seem to be inspired enough to tackle his own debt so proactively which is why we're keeping them seperate up until we get married! Many peeps on here have suffered my whinges about his lack of motivation on more than one occasion!! I know just how tough it can be so hang in there. You'll get there soon!

well done Molanole, surely the second half will go down quicker as you're now paying a lot less interest?

Have you checked through your SOA recently to see if anyone can suggest further tightening?
