2 years after BKT

Hi all,

Last time I was on here just before bankruptcy, 2 years ago now and im sure you'll all agree... what a relief.

Anyway Its now 2 years this May and I want to start clearing up rating with credit ref agencies, banks etc.

There is some great advice on here but I cant seem to find a list IN ORDER of the steps I now need to take.

I have had a letter to confirm I am now out of the restrictions of the first 12 months and I can pay for a certificate... Ive not done this as yet..

So can some of you kind people advise me in simple terms of what the steps are I now need to take..... It's taking me forever to look on the forum.... So... example.. call the agencies? write letters.....

Hope you can help....

Thank you
:)

Hi, I'm nearly 2 years out as well, this second year has flown by!

The first thing you need to do is get your £2 statutory report from all three agencies, Experian, equifax and callcredit, don't get sucked into paying more than £2 though! Callcredit you can sign up for noddle for free, equifax will give you instant online access, Experian are a right pain and make you wait a week for a pin, probably to make you give in and pay for there premium service which gives you instant access

I personally had 10 accounts in default, I logged a dispute for each company through the equifax dispute portal, within 2 weeks 9/10 companies had corrected everything with all 3 credit reference reference agencies :j just one is being a pain and wants me to ring a premium number which I refuse to do! I need to write to them, annoying!

If you would rather do it by post, the step by step info in this post will help you out https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/677875

    Good luck
