Hi Everybody
Another week has gone by and so fast as well.
I stayed on budget with the food once again, which is great. Going to do it again this week. I cannot believe I used to spend over £100 a week on food, I must have been mad. It is just a case of being more organised. I can honestly say I don't think the girls have noticed a change at all.
I have continued to sort out more stuff for eBay and am going to try and list a lot of stuff over the week and weekend.
I really do want a clutter free house now.
Take care everybody and keep going.

Hi
just having a read, subscribing!
Thought I'd chime in with regards to ebay. My DH uses Hermes, its a courier company that collect the item and send it for you, depending on the item it can be cheaper than Royal Mail and you dont have to go to the post office.

Hi Everybody
I cannot believe were the weeks are going. Well, what have I been up too.
I have kept to the food budget which I am now finding so easy and I really do not think anybody in the house has noticed. Apart from the dustbin from the unused out of date food.
I have started using all the bits of chicken that I would not cook for us and cooking it for the dogs with carrots to put with their dried food. They love it and one of the dogs looks better as he had dry skin on his ears which has now gone. This saves me about £4 a week as I used to buy them pouches of food as well as dried.
So if I keep this up it works out at £208 a year, as this is how I am thinking about it.
I have also done a car boot sale and made £155. I am using this as my food money for the month so I don't have to draw any out of the bank. I really would love to do this each month if I can find the junk around the house.
I have also sold a few things on eBay. Thank you so much for the tip of couriers I really do need to look into that. The house is tidy and all the washing is done so over the weekend I am going to list as much as I can on eBay and will look at couriers to see if they are cheaper than royal mail. I really would love a free listings weekend, but will have to wait and see.
Take care everybody and thank you all for making me more organised which is resulting in me saving so much money. I don't think I would have started this trip if I had not read all the diaries on this thread.

Hi Rockm87,
Thank you for the tip. I am going to have a look at this and hopefully it will save me some cash. I have had a look on eBay and a lot of people use them.
Are they any good?

well DH always uses them, mainly for convenience, but depending on the item, it can be cheaper...not always! but sometimes.

You seem to be doing great Aprilshower. That food budget is brilliant!!
There are a few courier companies now beating RM prices, you pay more for them to collect from you or you can drop at a local shop, which is easier for me as I can do this afterwork, our local shop is pen until 10pm so very convenient for me.0 -
Hi
Thank you so much to you both. I am going to look into them tonight as I have a day off work tomorrow and was going to use it to list a lot of stuff on eBay.
I have gone through all my accounts and my balance is now £25005 so it is going in the right direction. So that is just over £800 paid off since I started my diary.
Once again thank you all for your help and ideas.
My next task is to eBay, eBay and eBay until there is nothing left in the house. Also I have four bags of clothes that I did take to the boot sale but nobody really looked at them. All the good stuff I have passed on to other people or sold on eBay. I think I may call into one of those cash for clothes places to see what they offer as something is better than nothing.
Has anybody ever used any of these?

Hi Everybody
I cannot believe another week has gone.
What have I been up too. Well once again I have stuck to the food budget which is great. It is very surprising if you are organised the amount of money you save.
I have done another meal plan for this week. My freezer is looking a little low now but I really do need to defrost it. So have decided to use up all the bits and bobs in there and then defrost it.
I think the hard part will be filling it up on £35 a week. But will see how that goes.
Listed more items on eBay and have sold seven things last week which is great.
I have started putting together another load of ( junk ) amazing items for another car boot sale as I really would love to do another one in July and August.
I also took the really junk clothes to the case for clothes place last week. The bags came to £10.80 so not much but it all helps. I think this is the last resort for clothes to be honest, but £10.80 was better than nothing.
Take care everybody and hope everybody is doing well with not spending or not over spending.

Hello Everybody
Yet another week gone, I cannot believe were they are going.
Met the shopping budget again, but it did help that I picked up a few receipts in a big supermarket and got vouchers to the value of £12.67. So decided to stock up on cereals as they were on offer. So we will be ok for cereal for a while now.
It really seems strange I used to spend so much on food and I really do not think anybody has noticed at all the difference. I could kick myself now for doing it for so long.
Over the weekend I have sorted another room out and really decluttered it. So yet another pile for eBay and more stuff towards my next car boot sale.
I have took on an extra job than normal that I will be doing this week and over the weekend. I will earn an extra £500 from it, but I am really going to be so busy, but it will be worth nit.
Over the weekend I sold another six things on ebay. I made about £85 which is great. I am not going to be able to put any more on ebay this week as I am going to be so busy with work.
Any way things are heading in the right direct which is nice to know.
Take care everybody
