    Oh, I forgot.
Rachel Reeves should be Labour leader, she's quite pretty.

I don't like it when leaders step down within hours of a loss. Smacks of throwing your toys out of the pram. Farage clearly thought he was going to win so the comment of stepping down was a bit throwaway in my opinion. Won't be long before he is back.

.... alternatively he did exactly as he said he would, which is refreshing for a politician! He stepped down to allow others to have a go should they wish. As you say he will probably be back in September, but that's only if the party want him back.

So perhaps Ed M and Nick C should stand or leadership of their parties too?!

I've always thought it a shame the PM can't choose people from other parties to consult. Best of all world's then.

    He can if he wants.

The Secretary of State for Scotland should be a SNP MP, as they have virtually all the seats.

I doubt they would accept the position, but Dave should offer it and see what the response is.

Of all the bigger parties in the UK, the Lib Dems are the only ones that have managed to marry both wings with any success. Perhaps it's their time.

Interesting you think the Lib/ Dems will bounce back from 8 MP's, yet Labour appear to effectively be a lost cause (unless they change) with 232 seats.

I know labour need to re-focus their efforts, but statistically, they increased their vote by double the percentage that the Conservatives, so maybe it's focusing on the right areas under the FPTP system that they need to do

Conservatives increased their vote by 0.8% (circa 90,000) gaining 24 seats and Labour by 1.5% (circa 140,000) losing 26 seats

    .....and he still is.

Apparently UKIP have rejected his resignation so he is remaining as leader.

I am disclined to knock a politician for keeping to their promises just this once.:)

Don't worry. He's just decided to go back on his promise. Thank god for the common sense, honest, trustable approach that a deluded minority think UKIP encapsulate!
