Thanks very much for this, always looking for unusual & more importantly free or cheap days out:D
Our local papers/tv/tourist info only seem to tell you how great something was after it's over!!!
Was hoping to go to The Submarine Museum during the school holidays, but not knowing whether my 4 year old would enjoy it was too tight to pay, now it looks like we will go after all, willing to risk it if it's free:rotfl:
Very Grateful:TComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Free days out at certain heritage sites on this weekend.
Some local newspapaers and radio have strated announcing them as well.
Check if you live in London or outside England - the dates may be later.
Have fun!0 -

Thanks again to OP, just had a fantastic day out going to Portland castle (Weymouth), which was free, and doing other stuff in the area in brilliant sunshine.0

Just to let you know, that I did take advantage of the heritage day & went to the submarine museum Gosport for free, we had a great time, & had a tour of a submarine, really interesting & my 4 year old managed to behave, even though, it was quite a long time for him to listen! We saved £16.50 so thanks again for posting - much obliged:beer:Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
