Skipton DIP - is it generally reliable?

Hello
Just inquiring to see folks experience with Skipton.
Got pass on DIP without any referral.
Trouble is I'm a terrible worrier. Broker seems happy enough.
So are Skipton generally fine once you get the DIP or one of the more fussy set of underwriters?
Thanks

Skipton's AIP / DIP is based on a hard search of Callcredit (Noddle) data I believe. You will still need to satisfy their affordability criteria at full application, assuming no material changes in your credit profile.0

Affordability should be fine. Lots of headroom. In fact Skipton figures come out considerably higher than most of the others on the affordability calculator s.
Being a worrier is not a good thing during a mortgage application. ....0 -
DIPs generally are as reliable as the information entered.
I have had 2 DIPs pass recently which were subsequently declined at application stage (although managed to get one overturned).
One was because of a technicality which my account manager gave me the wrong information on... Skipton would lend to th client just not on the property.
The other was a huge increase in income, again my account manager said it would be fine but it was a issue for the underwriter. But we did get this overturned.
Prior to those 2, I think 99% of my DIPs that pass then go to full offer. Just my 2 most recent went a little off track.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. My concern is on my wife's credit file are a few late payments. None more than "1" and over 12 months old.0

If its passed the DIP then I would not be worried about them.
If it is borderline on credit score then the case will refer, if yours has passed then the rest of the case must be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. My recent mortgage application was with Skipton and we got a pass at DIP stage and went on to full offer without much extra hassle... but the process did take over 8 weeks, so be prepare yourself for a wait and then you'll be pleasantly surprised if the offer is made quickly.0

There is no reason for it to take 8 weeks from app to offer unless something has gone wrong.
My recent cases were looked at within a week or so, add on say another week for the valuation and your looking at 2 weeks.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi, what would Skipton do if there's some missing accounts on CallCredit? Passed DIP and they say that some lenders simply don't share their info with them, so how would they acquire some particular account history .. consult other agencies?0
-
Any lender uses the credit agencies they use. Not every credit commitment appears with every credit agency. If there are some missing, there are some missing it should not be a problem.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
