Stain on polyester cushion cover - Help!

Have just spotted a large stain of something - I suspect a food of some variety - on my nice new cushion! The cover label says 100% polyester - dry clean only but can I ignore this and get the stain out?
Unfortunately I don't know what the stain is.
Has anyone got any ideas on how to clean it?
Thanks!

Maybe some bicarbonate of soda mixed with a little water and leave the paste on for 30 mins. Try it on a unseen part first though. Good luck.0

You could try washing it in a gentle wash with some biological washing liquid and rub some into the stain. TBH as polyester cushions are usually quite cheap to buy, I would think if that doesn't work it would actually be cheaper to buy a new cushion than an expensive stain remover (unless of course you bought it somewhere designer - ish and were charged an arm and a leg for material which is pennies to buy) Matalan and Wilkinsons will sell polyester cushions for under £20
