    Don't know, it would depend on what sort of criteria you set for deciding what was 'better'. But I don't think it has been the cause of an "enormous mess" anywhere that I can think of.

    I am not against PR, currently my vote is meaningless as I am in a labour strong hold and not voting labour.

    At least with PR every vote actually counts.

    The 'Additional Member System' used in Scotland means that far from being a 'Tory Free zone' the Scottish Parliament has a number of Conservative MSPs elected via the 'list' system. The Greens also get representation which they wouldn't under FPTP.

    We did all cast our votes in the UK alternative vote referendum in 2011 didn't we? It was part of the Conservative Liberal Democrat pact agreement.
