pinkshoes - did you vote UKIP?
Most certainly not. Did you?
I am not sure how refusing to eat foie gras links to voting ukip...???Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
You do realise that you have no right to demand some one provides you with what you want
So you ask for a burger without gherkins, they accept your money on such a basis and you think you have no right to be provided with what you paid for?
Some weird logic there given we're on the consumer rights board! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Well that you knackered then no wonderful afterlife as a slave to your BH.0

Ilford isn't exactly short of places to eat- including several that have no bacon on the premises whatsoever (kosher) so why do you continue to visit MacDonalds when you've already had two bad experiences ?
Sorry but I think you are either not very bright or telling.....erm porkies !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I would suggest that the OP eats at Chicken Cottage (it's not a real cottage) in future. Its entire chain is Halal.
It's also worth noting that not only are McD's Beef and Chicken not Halal(*), but also (technically) neither is their Ice Cream (alcohol used in the production process) or their Fish or Fries (oil filtered through the same equipment as oil used with meat products).
So although it may be sordidly delicious, actual Halal choices are thin on the ground. (Probably limited to the Veggie Deli and Wrap(**), Hot & Cold drinks except Milkshakes).
(*) Though the exact definition varies.
(**) McD's say that these are truly veggie, as approved by the Vegetarian Society.0 -

I think it comes down to it being "no biggie" and "to be expected" if they make a minor, non-hazardous error in the preparation of the food.0 -

My comments were purely in response to jethros assertion that you have no right to be provided with what you want (and his whole post that seems to indicate you should only order items from a menu if you like every single ingredient in it).You keep using that word. Halal - traditionally, a prayer is said for the animal before it's slaughtered.
However, all meat animals in the EU have to be slaughtered to EU standards, and this means that the animal must be stunned before slaughter - prayer being said first or not.
Any meat imported from outside the EU has different rules: it must only meet the standards of the country where the animal was raised and slaughtered. New Zealand meat is halal.0
