Only the 'special promotion' beef burgers contain bacon, or some of them with chicken (but the clue is clearly in the name with the chicken burgers, because it literally says chicken and bacon) - so what burger were you ordering OP?

On the very odd occasion I have found myself in McDonalds, I order a plain burger as I don't like ketchup. I always check it (lift the burger bun up) to check that the order is right. Why didn't you check it before you tried it?

If this was the third time this has happened one would have thought you'd have checked before biting into the burger.

Personally I find this story hard to believe.

    I'm smelling Subway meatballs! ;)

There is a definite pattern on MSE of OPs misusing terms like "con", "rip-off", or in this case "could've died".

There are a number of solutions:-

    - Don't go to McDonalds

    - Only order Big Mac, Quarterpounder, Chicken Legend, Double Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Beefburger,Veggie Deli or Veggie Wrap, none of which ever have bacon (and you would be within your rights to complain if they accidentally did).

    - Inspect your purchase for Bacon, which is generally visible from the outside, and if not, simply lift the bun.

Sorry, but this is a non-issue. The solution is in your own hands. You lost the room with the nonsense "nuts" comparison. The point is that nuts often cannot be easily seen, and for those who are allergic to them can produce a severe, even fatal reaction. Neither of those things apply to McD's bacon.

BTW does anyone else ever find McD's bacon is cold?

As already been said why do you even mention bacon to them? If you want a burger just order one there is no need to even mention bacon to them. You need to actually ask for a burger with bacon so you are only confusing the issue.

I love the idea of a Halal McDonalds that sells bacon- sorry but this is a very poor attempt at an ''amusing' wind up.

    What to do? Fuming

The two are not comparable. It is quite outrageous that you even suggest they are comparable.

    Nut allergy = life threatening

    Halal = fussy eater

If this is the third time in the same restaurant, then why are you eating there???

Does it say on the door it is halal, or is it just rumour?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Google suggests that there was a Halal trial in Southall in 2007. No mention of Ilford.
