Pay slip requests

Options
When you apply for a mortgage, do they ask for your payslips both at the start of the app and towards completion? which would be 1-3 months time.

It depends how far apart the two are... If the exchange and completion go through quickly after the approval, they're far less likely to. If there's a delay, they may ask to see it again.

It depends on the lender, circumstances and delay. Some lenders will always want to see them again, others never, and most somewhere in between.

For the sake of simplicity, I'd assume you have to produce them until proven otherwise.

  • I've never been asked & our 1st purchase took about 5 months but if your circumstances change before completion you should inform your lender.
